After dropping my previous fly box in the river (never to be seen again!) I was in desperate need of a new one. I could not be more pleased with my purchase of the Ames Fly Fishing box. It is very light and surprisingly way more sturdy than I would expect given it’s weight. It is nicely vented to allow the water to drain easily and most importantly, the lid stays closed (an issue I had with the box that took a swim)! The flies stay in place and are easy to get out. It’s the perfect size, and being from Denver, the perfect colors! Given the quality, I’m definitely going to be adding more of their equipment to my pack!

I have had many nets over the years and usually attach the net to the back of my vest. This net is light weight so it doesn’t pull and is easy to maneuver when reaching to net the fish. The net was shipped the day after I ordered it and I received it in two days — in time to use it this past weekend. It is very durable ( I slammed it in the car door and it was fine ). The price is very reasonable compared to similar nets. This net accommodates the bigger fish and with the rubber netting, the flies are easy to pull free. I was not sure I was going to like the bright orange color but I definitely will not lose it in the weeds. I was hesitant to buy a product with no reviews but I am happy to give it a five star rating.
Considering the cost, timely shipping, and ease of use, I highly recommend this net and company.
